Job description
RMS are recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a Workshop Engineer, for a leading manufacturing company.
This role will be based in Morley, Leeds and will be working 7:30AM to 4PM, Monday to Friday. They are offering a salary of up to £30k per annum, depending one experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Workshop tasks for all areas of business as instructed by Workshop Supervisor.
- Engineering tasks like reboring, Milling, Blade tensioning, countersinking
- Maintenance or repairs to various types of equipment following relevant procedures.
- Monitor workshop stock levels of spares/materials and report when levels need replenishing.
- Always ensure good housekeeping within the workshop.
- A good understanding of Health and Safety guidelines within a workshop environment.
- Re-tipping, tension and modifications on all blade types.
- The work involved will include brazing by hand and using the range of automatic Brazing machines, grinding machines and tensioning machines.
- The role may also include occasional visits to customers premises to assist with re-tips and repairs where necessary.
As an Ideal Candidate, you should have/be:
- Supervisory Workshop experience would be advantageous.
- Ability to use a range of workshop equipment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings.
