Job description
An established chemical analysis company based in Southampton are looking for a Sample Technician to join their growing team. You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running and organisation of the laboratory, and making sure preparations are made for laboratory testing to take place. Full training is provided for an enthusiastic candidate to have the opportunity to start or continue to grow their career in a scientific role.
The Role
The Laboratory Sample Technician will be responsible for preparing samples and some chemical testing within a laboratory setting.
The day-to-day tasks of this role include setting up, maintaining, and cleaning laboratory equipment.
You will also be responsible for the preparation and some testing of samples, keeping accurate records of work performed and results obtained; and following safety protocols and regulations.
Experience Required
No degree required.
Keen interest in Science and working in a laboratory-based environment.
Experience in a laboratory setting is optional, but not essential.
Experience with laboratory equipment and procedures, including safety protocols, optional but not essential.
Ability to analyse data and communicate findings effectively.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a dynamic team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Hard working and motivated to complete day to day work.
