Job description
Our client is an innovative consultancy in the rail industry. They currently have a Project Planner to join them in Staffordshire. The role is site based and supports hybrid working. The salary for this role is £45,000 to £50,000 dependant on experience.
Job Description:
As a Project Planner you will be responsible for development, maintenance and reporting of the P6 schedule within your allocated section of the programme. These responsibilities include but are not limited to activity management, coding, resources, quantities & costs.
Key Deliverables:
- Provide a focal point for planning within Project teams
- Monitor GIVE:GET milestones and their impact
- Produce and maintain work scope trackers
- Prepare and issue week look ahead plans on a periodic basis
- Production of QSRA/Hour By Hour programmes for works being undertaken in disruptive possessions
inline with DWWP guidance
- Assist the Planning Manager in producing Planned vs Actual reports
- Production of high quality outputs inclusive of visual dashboards to convey the current project progress
- Communicate Programme Criticality and Interfaces with the Team to assist prioritising the works
- Resource Loading Programmes
- Ensure Compliance with Schedule Management Plan
Requirements
Skills & Experience Required
- Competent IT user with a proven experience of Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Competent user of Primavera 6 with a minimum 2 years of demonstrable experience
- Excellent written and oral Communication skills
- Working knowledge of Project Planning within the Rail industry preferred
- Working knowledge of Schedule Management & Reporting
- Appreciation and understanding of Change Control, Baseline Management, and Operational Planning
i.e Rail Possessions
• Full UK Driving license with the ability to travel to site offices
