Job description

What you will do in your working day

• Preparing menu items - (chopping, washing and organising)
• Using a range of cooking methods ( ie grill, fry, bake, saute)
• Maintain a hygienic working environment
• Be involved in all aspects of the kitchen from open to close
• Food Safety
• Work as a team to deliver good food on time

The training you will be getting

• Full Training with Hospitality Production Chef Level 2 qualification- with mentor, employer guidance, expert chef training with Skern Training and Skills.
• English and maths Functional skills (if required) to work towards a Level 2 in both subjects (Eng/Maths A*-C or Level 2 F/S).
• Blended on/off the job training and face to face observations and reviews.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

• Once your apprenticeship is completed, there is a full time role available and you could become a senior member of the team progressing onto a Production Chef Level 3 or Sous Chef.
