We are seeking a diligent and attentive Financial Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance department. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to the senior leadership team, ensuring financial integrity and robustness in their Midlands location.

Description

* Leading the year end audit process, preparing financial statements and guiding the business through external and internal audits
* Monthly custom submissions and declarations
* Tax compliance and regulatory reporting
* Being the main contact for any regulatory and compliance issues
* Helping deliver month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting requirements
* Assisting the business with ad hoc needs
* Proactively seeing out opportunities to improve systems and business processes to drive efficiencies in internal and external reporting.

Profile

• Qualified accountant, with at least 2 years post qualification experience (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience working in a similar role, particularly General and Analytical Accounting- manufacturing experience would be advantageous
• Experience of financial statement preparation (either IFRS or UK GAAP)
• Experience in preparing financial statements and working with auditors
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to explain technical financial information clearly to non-finance people
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good team building skills.
