Having successfully appointed a Co-Headteacher to 0.6 FTE, we are looking to appoint -
EITHER
A Co-Headteacher at 0.4 FTE, working beside an experienced Co-Headteacher (0.6FTE)
OR
A split contract of 0.4 FTE Co-Headteacher/with the option of up to 0.6 FTE (Full Time Contract) as Deputy Headteacher.
- Co-Headteacher 0.4 FTE - L16 – L22 (£68,400 - £79,112 pro rata)
- Deputy Headteacher up to 0.6FTE - L5 - L9 (£52,074 - £57,482 pro rata)
Trimley St Mary Primary School is located in the growing village of Trimley St Mary on the outskirts of Felixstowe and within easy reach of the A14. It is a larger than average community school dating back to 1904 and has grown as the village has grown with a strong sense of belonging, care and support.

- a proven record of school improvement at a senior level
- experience of teaching and leading in all primary phases including EYFS
- the ability to demand ambitious standards for all pupils regardless of disadvantage, background, or starting point
- high expectations of children and staff
- the ability and willingness to work with the children, parents, staff and governors to deliver the very best for our pupils.
Our Children would like someone who:
- is eager to chat and share ideas and isn’t in their office all day
- has a good sense of humour and comes around the classes and looks at everyone’s work
- can look at things from different angles and appreciate all opinions
- is caring and kind and gives time to the children
- helps pupils to sort their problems out even if you are the Headteacher
- brings new ideas.
