Job description
We are looking to expand our Operations department with additional business intelligence expertise to help us provide best-in-class analytics and reporting for all teams within the company.
As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will develop and drive critical insights and analysis for the business from requirements gathering, data preparation and transformation, through to creating high-quality outputs and data visualisations.
You will work withing the Operations department alongside the Operations Director, Data Engineer and BI Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with key business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify reporting or analysis needed.
- Design & build management information reports (specifically in Tableau) to answer specific business questions and provide actionable insight.
- Maintain existing dashboard reports, assisting key business stakeholders with any queries or troubleshooting issues.
- Regular reconciliation, interrogation & validation of regular reporting (daily & monthly).
- Provide proactive advice to the management team around trends, opportunities & data quality issues.
- Producing KPIs & visuals for all levels of the business, including management reporting, content reporting, board reporting and investor presentations.
- Use SQL and if necessary other languages to prepare data for application in scheduled reporting and visualisation.
- Contribute to the analysis of reports for commercial and strategic recommendations.
Requirements
- Strong skillset and experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization, specifically Tableau.
- Hands on experience with Snowflake or similar big data platforms.
- Ability to implement advanced queries from data backends using SQL.
- Advanced Excel capabilities for supporting short term asks and analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a consultative approach - keen to work directly with business stakeholders.
- A business mindset coupled with strong data analysis skills. The ability to tell the story from data in language that is relevant to business stakeholders.
- Experience working with large data volumes, ideally for cloud-based subscription services with large customer bases.
- Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic business with stakeholders at all levels.
