Project Phoenix is an enterprise transformation programme with the objectives of simplification and standardisation of business processes, reporting and technology. This is a major undertaking and impacts the entire business including our commercial, finance and supply chain functions.
One of the core workstreams of the programme is Source to Pay which looks to address the end-to-end operating model, process and tools used by Nomad to procure goods and services from suppliers, process them and make payments. To support this journey SAP Ariba has been selected as a tool of choice and is currently being implemented as part of the programme.
The Source to Pay Project Manager will be responsible for the creating, driving and executing the plan to deliver all source to pay activity within the Phoenix programme. The role is therefore responsible for managing Nomad stakeholders, our integration partner and other 3 rd parties to ensure the successful delivery of this project through all remaining phases including solution build, final testing, cut-over rehearsal, cut-over, hypercare. The delivery relies on successful coordination with cross functional teams within the SI, data, testing, change management and the business.
The scope of SAP Ariba to be delivered includes:
- Phase 1 – deploy Ariba to ECC
- Close Hypercare for the Buying module, ensuring remaining activities meet the project exit criteria, enabling successful handover to BAU teams.
- Phase 2 – deployment Ariba against a new, upgraded S4H solution
- Sourcing
- Contracts
- Supplier Management & Risk
- Buying (directs)
- Spend Analytics
- Commerce Automation (new implementation)
- Supply Chain Collaboration (new implementation)
Phase 2 will be rolled out to multiple markets across in 3 Waves.
The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Global Process Owner to project manage a diverse, multi-skilled team to successfully deliver the agreed business scope against the defined programme milestones.
The core responsibilities of the role will be the following:
- Dedicated project manager to drive delivery of the Ariba implementation as part of Project Phoenix.
- Coordinate Integration Partner, Nomad and other 3 rd party stakeholders to drive a quality, on-time implementation.
- Develop and own the project plan. Track and coordinate the activities within the plan to align to key programme activities (e.g. Testing, Training, Change Management, Supplier Onboarding, cutover, etc.).
- Support issue resolution, lead interventions and bring project management expertise to the project team.
- Understand the concepts of risk/issues management, quickly reacting to risks/issues as they arise to create, manage mitigation plans to minimise impacts in line with the programme objectives.
- Works closely with the Supply Chain Programme Lead and aligns to the Programme PMO.
- Responsible for regular, accurate project reporting and escalation of issues as appropriate to programme level.
- Responsible for ensure the team works in accordance to governance standards and creates all necessary auditable records.
- Responsible for successful project completion meeting the Nomad acceptance criteria (Technology, Audit, Business Users, etc.).
- Responsible for co-ordinating the acceptance into service (hand over to BAU support).
- Responsible for co-ordinating all hand-over activities during and after Hypercare.
