Job description
What you will do in your working day
During your working week you will be:
- Learning our style of cooking from our experienced chefs
- Using seasonal produce to a high standard
- Making sauces and stocks
- Handling and preparing produce including fish and meat in line with F&H standards
- Ensuring no wastage
- Contributing ideas to the menus and planning
- Plating food to high standards
- Cleaning to the FSA requirements
The training you will be getting
- You will be working towards a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard
- You will be required to attend Cornwall College Camborne once a week during term times
- Apprentices without English and Maths will need to pass this before end point assessment
- Level 2 in Food & Hygiene and putting into practise daily
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Potential to progress within the business
- Potential to progress onto Chef De Partie Apprenticeship Level 3
