Job Description
Role Overview:
As the Operations Manage, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of our projects. You will oversee multiple initiatives at various stages of development, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organisational goals. From establishing operational processes to managing resources and fostering collaboration, you will be integral to the success of TSPN.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support the growth and sustainability of TSPN.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of multiple projects within the organisation.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet objectives.
- Foster collaboration and communication among team members, stakeholders, and partners. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, motivating them to achieve excellence. Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Requires a degree level qualifications or equivalent
- Skilled in managing people with direct supervisory experience
- Experience of successful Project Management and introducing new ways of working
- Ability to create a supportive and performance focused team (including volunteers)
- Good communication skills both written and oral with the ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly
- Experience of developing learning materials and delivering training
Operational Management & Planning
- Experience of developing, monitoring and evaluating business plans
- Experience of developing and delivering services focused on Food
- Experience at working at a strategic level
- Experience of budgets and monitoring of resources
- Knowledge of funding streams and writing funding applications
- Experiences of equality and anti-discriminatory policy and practice issues
- Knowledge of health & and safety legislation/requirements
- Experiences of auditing and quality assurance
Relationship Management
- Work positively with partners, stakeholders and funders
- Experience of external communications e.g., Media Publicity
General
- Knowledge of and commitment to addressing systemic food issues and the impact it has on local people
- Capable of using own initiative and meeting tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Scottish Legislation, policy and government related to Food
- Knowledge of local and central government decision making structures and how to influence them
Other
- Ability to work flexibly and to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings
- Skilled in use of IT for self- management e.g. Microsoft, excel, email and internet
- Ability to give regular and effective service
- Ability to travel regularly
- Hold a current clean UK driving license and have access to a car with business use insurance cover
