Post Title: AV & Digital Media Technical Development Consultant
SBU/Department: Library and Computing Services (IT Developments)

FTE: 1FTE (37 hours per week)
Duration of Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term Contract
Salary: UH8 £44,263 pa to £46,974 pa with potential to progress to £56,021 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience
Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our offices between Christmas and New Year
Location: LRC, College Lane Campus, Hatfield

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated audio-visual professional with a strong track record in AV solutions design and project management, to join our multi award-winning team.

Main duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for development, design and delivery of Audio-Visual systems across the University business from requirement to delivery into business as usual. The role includes work in new buildings, refresh and refurbishment of existing spaces, including regular moves and changes to existing equipment. As well as teaching and learning environments you will also be working with retail space, corporate office and meeting spaces, digital signage systems, video/audio recording studios, theatre spaces and informal spaces. This role works closely with the Events, Audio Visual (AV) and Digital Media (DM) Support Team (EAVDM) which is comprised of multi-skilled Technical Specialists who are responsible for providing the delivery, support and maintenance of Events, AV and Digital Media across the University.

Skills and experience required
The successful candidate must be highly motivated with a ‘can do’ approach to resolving problems and supervising the work of multiple external contractors. You will have significant knowledge/experience of audio-visual system design, support and operation. You should be proficient in industry specific software systems and design packages. You must also be able to effectively engage with stakeholders to resolve conflict and/or collate, investigate, analyse and present information, via excellent oral or written communications to support University decision making.

Qualifications required
Having a minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent level 6 qualification, or proven professional experience, as well as Qualification in AV and digital media technologies at professional level or equivalent expertise and experience (eg. CTS / CTS-D) is essential.
