Job description

A Supervising Social Worker is required to join a fantastic independent fostering service in Lincolnshire, supporting young people and providing service to those involved in adoption and within the fostering system.

Overview:

• Title: Supervising Social Worker
• Salary: Up to £39,000
• Location: Home-based with regular travel to cover the Lincolnshire area
• Hours: Full time

Duties and responsibilities:

• Support and supervision of foster carers.
• Recruit, assess and monitor the suitability and competence of foster carers.
• Find long or short-term fostering placements for children who come into care.
• Find permanent new families for children who can't go home for whatever reason.
• To provide support, counselling, and therapeutic interventions to adoptive families.
• To assist the foster carer in their task of providing care to a child in care.
• Achieve the best outcomes for our children and families and to sustain them in their communities.
• Undertaking statutory duties following National Fostering Standards and Regulations
• Have a good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.

Experience/ Qualifications:

• SWE registered
• 2 years fostering and or adoption experience
• Ability to be flexible as working practises can include occasional evening and weekend work.
• UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle
• Social work degree or an equivalent qualification
