RMS Are working with an outstanding automotive client; we are looking for Several Compound Operatives / Drivers to join our existing team. Our client is well-known for providing vehicle storage, inspection, maintenance, dispatch and transportation facilities!

About the role?

Working under the supervision and co-ordination of the Compound Manager and Team Leader, you will be required to carry out all vehicle movements within the site correctly and as efficiently as possible.

Key responsibilities of the Role:

• To carry out all vehicle movements within the site.
• To locate and move the correct vehicle to the correct location.
• To pull the correct vehicles for loads, ready for dispatch.
• To comply with the correct parking procedures and site speed limits
• To complete all relevant paperwork and report any discrepancies.
• To carry out storage and maintenance checks.
• To ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Undertake other duties as directed commensurate with the level of the job function.

Shifts:6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm. Weekly rotating shift patterns. In order to be successful for the role, the ideal candidate must be completely flexible to work a various rotation of shifts between the times of 6am-10pm.

The primary function of this role operates outdoors in a large automotive compound facility. As this is a 24-hour operation, its associated duties are conducted in varying weather conditions throughout the year (PPE is provided to support such tasks). You will be expected to store and transport vehicles in an outdoor logistics facility which also involves moderate amounts of general walking throughout the working day.

About you?

• You must hold a Valid Driving Licence with less than 6 penalty points and no DR offences for an insurance purpose
• You should be confident in your driving and have experience with automatic and manual vehicles
• Be familiar with the workings of other departments and the ability to multi task to support other areas throughout busy periods this will include Car Valeting
• A level headed approach needs to be taken when driving vehicles to ensure your own safety
• The use of initiative needs to be taken to ensure all vehicles are distributed meeting the necessary quality standards
• To be able to work independently but liaise effectively with colleagues and support each department to ensure quality in maintained.
