Job description

Our client who are specialists in the design and manufacture of high quality industrial control systems are currently recruiting for Industrial/Commercial Maintenance Electricians in the Devon area. The successful candidates will be joining an experienced and established maintenance team covering the South West region. This is the ideal role for a fully qualified electrician from an industrial background with good knowledge of 18th Edition wiring regulations. Candidates must have their own hand tools for this role but full PPE will be provided. You must be able to commute to site yourselves and the days are 8 hour shifts. General duties include:

• Performing electrical repairs and installation work to the highest standard in line with all required regulations and codes of practice
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance on a diverse range of industrial electrical systems
• Installing electrical systems using a full range of installation materials and techniques
• Routine checking and testing of all types of electrical systems, including the location and repair of faults
• Adherence to existing working practices, methods and procedures

Requirements Skills and experience required:

• Up to date electrical qualifications including 18th edition wiring regulations
• Experience as an electrician within an industrial / Oil & Gas / Water environment
• Understanding of wiring diagrams
• Ability to communicate across all levels within the organisation
• A natural problem solver comfortable working on their own initiative
• Must hold full UK driving licence
