Job Title: Panel Administrator

Location: Office based- Lowestoft

Salary: £23,400 per annum

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Panel Administrator to join our team at NFA East.

About us.

We are part of the National Fostering Group – the UK’s largest independent fostering family.

Our highly skilled and dedicated fostering community supports Local Authorities by providing short or long-term foster placements for thousands of vulnerable children and young people throughout the UK. Most of our 33 regional fostering agencies are officially recognised by regulators as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’, it is perhaps not surprising that more people choose to foster with our fostering agencies than any other fostering provider in the UK.

About the role

As our Panel Administrator, you will provide high quality administration and co-ordination for all Panel Meetings at the agency. You will be expected to attend the meetings and take minutes, write reports and maintain/update records as appropriate. You will also be responsible for managing compliance information such as DBS applications, medical forms and all other statutory checks in line with our legal requirements.

Fostering Solutions are a supportive and caring team who put a relentless focus on the children and young people in our care. This role is key to the team and will ensure that our staff members have everything they need in regards to training, policies and accurate records on our system CHARMS.

Who we are looking for

You will have experience of working within an office environment and supporting a busy team. The successful candidate will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel to create reports. It is important that you are able to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Our Panel Administrator will have the ability to meet tight deadlines and work calmly under pressure with a flexible working attitude. Teamwork is important as well as being able to work on your own initiative.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop your own personal skills and capability though on-going training as agreed with your line manager.

Essential Criteria

Experience within an administrative role
Strong IT skills
Minute taking
Good organisational skills
Good communication skills, both spoken and written
Willingness to learn and happy to undertake professional training where necessary
Team player
Ability to work on own initiative
Organised with the ability to manage numerous tasks & deadlines
An awareness of how key social media platforms work and operate within a business setting (desirable)
