Job description
Robert Half is recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a growing business in Coventry.
Reporting directly to the FD, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced finance manager to take full ownership of and responsibility for all aspects of day to day accounting and monthly management accounts with the genuine opportunity up skill further as your career develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the FD in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Responsible for Nominal & General ledger
- Overseeing Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger
- Month end close
- Supporting Year End - scheduling for year end audit
- Overseeing VAT Quarters, submission and reconciliation
- Cashflow management & modelling
- Involvement in the implementation upgrade
- Review current practice & procedures with a view to improving and automating
- Processing monthly salaries and liaison with 3rd party payroll provider to ensure confidential and accurate processing
The Candidate
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA / Financial related degree or equivalent level
- Commercially minded and highly analytical problem solver
- Currency exposure would be an asset - multiple currencies, but Yen, Euro and Sterling predominantly
- Mindset of continual improvement (of process and procedures)
- Keen interest in systems and automation
