We are seeking a talented and inspirational English specialist to join our thriving school as a KS5 Lead and be dedicated to furthering the journey of our students in their lifelong love of reading and communication. This is part of the next phase of recruitment for our growing academy, to take us to full capacity.
We can offer you the opportunity to lead and develop the English strategy for our growing 6th form where you will support our Head of English in developing and implementing a KS5 curriculum designed to prepare our students for the next chapter of their educational journey. Whatever your career stage, you will be supported to develop further literary knowledge and enhance your teaching tool kit. We thrive with fantastic staff who are committed to the cause of our students exceling as both writers and linguists and being equipped to succeed in a changing world.
Our Head of English would be delighted to take you on a tour of the school and give you the opportunity to meet the department and answer any questions you may have.
As KS5 Lead for English you will join an established team of creative professionals to:
· Play a fundamental role in moving the English department to the next stage in its development and to even greater successes
· Plan and deliver high quality and engaging lessons that will challenge students and inspire progression
· Encourage students to have high expectations of themselves and their behaviour
· Engage students in study at A-Level GCSE
· Be a positive role model and supportive mentor to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
