About Us:

KSD Support Services Limited (part of the KSD Group) is one of the fastest growing, privately owned, building maintenance and facilities management support services companies in the UK, delivering high levels of service to key blue-chip clients such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Morrisons.

Purpose of the Job:

Preparing accurate cost estimates for projects by gathering information and analysing proposals and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities are detailed below, however KSD Support Services Ltd may require additional responsibilities to be absorbed within reason from time to time to meet business demands.

- Create all small works estimates within the KSD Support Services Ltd business (across all clients);
- Collect client feedback and attend site meetings as and when required;
- Liaising with KSD Support Services Ltd Helpdesk on a daily basis;
- Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects and small works;
- Understand scope of work to bid;
- Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors;
- Analise drawings and specifications;
- Provide clear detailed quantity take offs;
- Aim to provide at least 30 estimates per day;
- Calculating the cost of materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire;
- Researching and assessing information from a variety of sources in order to prepare accurate estimates;
- Assessing the levels of risk on projects.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

- Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude;
- Ability to work on own or as part of a team;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills;
- Proficient in the use of IT platforms, Outlook, Word, Excel;
- Knowledge of schedule of rates desirable;
- Excellence attention to detail;
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment - flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
