You will be joining the Partner management team leading Partner Managers within the networking category. Developing and coaching the team and driving the overall growth strategy for all our networking venders. This team’s main objective is to ensure we have strong robust relationships with our partners and the Computacenter is the number one choice when collaborating and that we are promoting all our partners products and services into our sales team. Partner management is a fun and dynamic team that excel in building our business and maximise on the potential of our relationships. As a Category Manager at Computacenter, you will be responsible for Developing and creating a deep understanding of vendor requirements and delivering a commercially focused strategic sourcing function.
What you'll do
- Developing and creating a deep understanding of vendor requirements and delivering a commercially focused strategic sourcing function
- Promoting Computacenter (CC) as the preferred route to market for our vendors and reverse selling CC’s capabilities into vendor partners
- Engaging with stakeholders both within CC and externally to understand requirements and delivering commercial solutions and capabilities to meet these needs
- Developing and owning commercial programmes with vendors and building strategies to maximise the commercial benefit for CC from these programmes and ensuring CC compliance with vendor programs
- Managing vendor accreditation programmes
- Facilitating the creation of solutions between Sales and Vendors, shaping and negotiating large, complex opportunities
- Managing and driving the performance of your team and our partners to deliver CC objectives
- Facilitating the development of joint partnership between CC and vendors
- As a Category Manager you will have responsibility for the networking lines of business and Vendor Partners within the Partner Management organisation, personnel responsibility for the Partner Managers, and management of relevant commercial partner relationships with manufacturers and distributors with the aim of achieving a commercial competitive advantage
- You will be fully accountable for their own work, establish their own milestones, team objectives and will delegate assignments
- You will demonstrate all the abilities needed to deliver at a senior level as a professional
What you'll need
- A deep understanding and knowledge of vendor requirements
- Extensive experience in networking channels
- Ability to influence and promote Computacenter as the preferred route to market for our vendors
- Able to engage with stakeholder both internally and externally to build robust working relationships
- Commercial acumen
- Ability to facilitate the creation of solutions between sales and vendors, shaping and negotiating large, complex opportunities
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and motivate your team to success
