Job description

Position

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our established team and be responsible for helping with maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, carrying out office administrative tasks and maintaining documents and records to ensure all files are kept up to date.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· To post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

· To update accounts receivable and issue invoices

· To update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

· To reconcile general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information

· To assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

· To assist with processing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

· To update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

· To prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

· To assist finance team in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

· To provide administrative support as required

· To assist with accounting projects on an adhoc basis

Requirements
Who you are:

· Experience in an accounts or finance role

· Knowledge of Netsuite accounting system is desirable

· Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Ability to use statistical and other data to produce reports and form decisions

· Ability to process detailed information effectively and consistently

· Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently, exercising a high degree of autonomy

· Demonstrate an eagerness to establish a long-term career with the Agena Group

Other information
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Hybrid working from our office in Lancing

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-5.30pm

Additional Information:
