Job description
The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst on behalf of a retail and commercial company in Milton Keynes.
The Role
Reporting to a Finance Manager in the Treasury Finance team and working with the business units you will help shape the financial direction of the company and ensure that shareholder value is maximised responsible for a specific products and customer segments within the overall company UK balance sheet of c£280bn with RWA's of c£70bn. The role holder is expected to work across multiple functions (including risk, business units as well as other Finance functions), you will be seen as the primary contact within the Finance Team for the products they look after and will be seen as leading Finances interaction with key stakeholders that they are aligned to
The day to day duties of the Finance Assistant will consist of:
- Provide technical support and assistance, responding to all stakeholder queries using established processes and procedures, escalating more complex queries
- Deliver small-scale projects or well defined tasks on larger projects to improve support to the business.
- Establish relationships with stakeholders to identify business requirements and provide appropriate support
- Have a detailed knowledge of price sensitivity, value for money and demand curves
- Preparation\challenge the Financial business plans
- Produce key reports for Stakeholders explaining business performance and emerging trends
- Evaluation of the financial impact of key pricing proposals and subsequent monitoring
- Preparing responses to the numerous ad hoc FCA/CMA requests
Your Profile
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective relationships within and outside Finance through personal credibility and delivery of results
- Sound financial services/broad business knowledge
- Ability to interpret and evaluate financial information and make authoritative recommendations
- Highly numerate with proven analytical experience
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills
- CIMA \ ACCA qualified or other relevant professional qualification (or studying towards) or significant experience in working in a Retail banking finance environment
- To have that 'can do' attitude and desire to push themselves
- experience of using Microsoft Office
Salary and Benefits
The Salary for the role of a Finance Analyst will be paying up to £40k based on experience and skill sets. Hybrid working 3 days at home and 2 in the office and parking is available along with loads of other great benefits
