Hexcel is currently seeking a Team Leader based in our Leicester, UK location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

• To be responsible for the short term execution of the production plan
• To ensure that safety standards are maintained at all times, and that you are actively leading by example and challenging non-conformance where required
• To ensure that the fabric quality is meeting the product & customer specification, and also challenging existing standards to improve quality continuously
• To ensure that all production orders are made to agreed budgets, and investigate and resolve when outside of budget (materials & labour)
• To plan for the shift and be responsible for daily production requirements
• To execute individual training plans in accordance with shift supervisor
• To plan machine changeovers, and to ensure that they are completed to the agreed specifications on time, & the machine is running at optimum efficiency.
• To help drive down machine changeover costs by external preparation, training of production employees and other actions.
• To ensure TPM activities within production are in line with TPM schedule are carried out at agreed intervals, and that the slots incur minimal downtime creating negative impact on OTD & OEE
• To actively and positively promote and play a leading role in an improvement culture across the company geared towards lean manufacturing concepts.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Extensive technical knowledge on NCF fabrics and machines
• MS Office experience (especially Excel & Word)
• Experience of ERP systems (ideally AX2012)
• Supervisory experience
