Job description
SEN Teaching Assistant for Primary School
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant with a focus on SEN (Special Educational Needs) support to join our team at primary school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning process within our primary school environment, particularly focusing on students with SEN.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN to ensure they can fully participate in classroom activities.
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of SEN students.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support students with additional needs such as ADHD, Autism, and behavioral challenges.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources, including those adapted for SEN students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to address the specific needs of SEN students effectively.
Requirements: - Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with SEN students.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the development of SEN students.
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training and development related to SEN support.
