Job description
Manage a caseload with complex OT needs, using evidence based/client-centered principles to assess, plan. implement and evaluate interventions. Provide leadership for junior staff, through supervision and appraisal. Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of OT services. Regularly supervise OT students on practice placement. Maintain records. Clinical Responsibilities Complete OT assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the service user in areas of self-care, productivity and leisure. Use a problem-solving approach to reduce risk as home. Work with service users to identify OT goals as part of the care plan. Plan and implement individual interventions, in collaboration with the service user, using graded activity to achieve goals. Apply a broad level of understanding of the effect of disability and recommend adaptations to the service users physical and social environment.
