(Local) Mobile Mechanical Engineer - Commercial
Bradford Area
Up to £38,000 + van + benefits
Alecto Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to work for our client's schools maintenance contract covering the Bradford area.
Working within a team of Engineers, you will cover an estate of 7 school sites in the area. This position will cover a range of commercial mechanical maintenance duties including gas, AHU and plumbing systems.
This position come with a company van and benefits which are detailed below.
Duties
- Hours of work - Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00, 37.5 hours per week.
- Participating in a 24 hour call out rota on a 1 week in 5 schedule, but also allowing to support cover as/where required.
- Undertaking all aspects of Mechanical/GAS/AHU/Plumbing repair and maintenance.
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and task schedules as directed by the Help Desk and/or Hard Services Team.
- Providing accurate Weekly Job Log information to designated timeframes, which has been recorded with the Contract Helpdesk.
- Carrying out basic facilities maintenance tasks as/where required.
- Supporting team members including acting as second-man as/where required.
- Participating in a 24 hour call out rota on a 1 week in 5 schedule, but also allowing to support cover as/where required.
- Attending team meetings or briefings as required.
- Supporting Operations/Premises teams with meeting SLAs by attending the required locations within the desired timeframe.
- Supporting and maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with Site representatives and Client Representatives.
- Assisting Operations/Premises/Hard Services/Project and Lifecycle Teams with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information and sourcing supplier quotations where extra works are identified.
- Producing technical and situational reports as required.
- Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes.

Applicant Profile
- Experience working on a range of Mechanical/GAS/AHU/Plumbing repair and maintenance and suitable Qualifications to support.
- Commercial Gas Qualification.
- Knowledge, Experience and Qualification of Working on Commercial Pumps.
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations.
- Building Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industry.
- Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
- Plumbing and building material skills/knowledge.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Full Clean UK driving licence.
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing and Heating qualification.
- IPAF & PASMA.
