Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering client, located in St. Leonards–on–Sea , who are looking for an Estimator to join their growing team.
Our client are a subcontract precision engineering company, who have been operating for over 15 years. They offer total machining solutions to a wide range of industries, including Scientific, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive, and many more. They have capacity for a range of machining solution, including 3 & 4–axis CNC milling, fixed head & sliding head turning, CNC grinding, welding/fabrication, laser engraving, and high–integrity inspection.
JOB ROLE: Estimator
TYPE: Full–time, Permanent
SALARY: Between
32k– 38k per year (Dependent on experience)
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday (08:00 AM until 16:30 PM)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Accepting and processing customer enquires through MRP system.
- Communication with customer both technical and non–technical.
- Communication with production engineers.
- Extracting information from technical drawings and customer specifications.
- Sourcing supplier quotations and developing new and existing supplier relationships.
- Creating customer quotations.
- Submitting customer quotations.
- Estimating routing times for components.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience within estimating is desirable.
- Previous experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience working with an MRP system is preferred.
- Comfortable working within a small team, in a family–run engineering environment.
