Consolidation Manager – Leatherhead – up to £80,000 – Hybrid Working
Job Description:

As the UK Consolidation Manager, you will play a vital role in managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with UK and US GAAP, and contributing to the success of diverse projects.
Core Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the Country Group Accounting Controller in managing the group's financial activities.
- Ensure compliance with UK and US GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports and statements.
- Manage the trial balance load of external companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless integration within the financial framework.
- Take overall responsibility for managing and reconciling intercompany balances and agreements, ensuring accuracy and consistency across entities within the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and procedures.
- Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Implement and maintain robust accounting controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the consolidation process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Analyse financial data to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ICAEW, CPA) preferred.
- More than five years of accounting experience, focusing on UK and US GAAP.
- Proven experience in team leadership and management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong understanding of business reporting tools.
- Ability to partner across the business to drive coordinated decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong understanding of relevant ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and Deltek Costpoint).
- Experience in working with US companies and relevant requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
