New permanent staff vacancy for an Audit and Assurance Lead to join our oil and gas operator client in Kingswells, Aberdeen.
Reporting to the EHS Manager, as the Audit and Assurance Lead, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Acting as the lead for company audit and assurance activities, specifically related to Operations, EHS, drilling and projects.
- Acting as Content Authority for the regions Internal Assurance Strategy Document.
- Responsible for ongoing management of, and tracking compliance with, the ANS Assurance Schedule.
- Coordinating contractor management audits and the onboarding process for new Contractors.
- Planning, coordinating and leading assurance activity as outlined within the ANS Assurance Schedule.
- Producing monthly and quarterly audit and assurance reports for management. Conducting trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and use this to influence audit and assurance schedule.
- Responsible for quality control of the information within the audit and assurance management system.
- Facilitating the timely, and accurate, communication of key audit findings to the relevant department managers and Technical Authorities.
- Championing the adoption of best practice through the review of audit actions, identifying key trends and direct interface with the action owner.
- Providing coaching to offshore and onshore based individuals on auditing best practices and the use of the company assurance process.
- Working with the regions Technical Authorities to define audit content and the risk based frequency for each audit.
- Acting as a proponent for process safety and operational integrity by ensuring that audit actions can be linked to barriers via the process safety bow-tie model.
- Supporting the development of operational procedures and BMS strategy documents as required.
- Participating/leading incident investigations as required supporting corporate objectives, rollouts etc. across the business.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Possesses a relevant university degree or relevant HSE qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH) etc.
- Relevant supporting technical/industry qualification(s) – i.e. Lead auditor or ISO qualification.
- Offshore medical and survival/MIST training certificates are necessary. Offshore visits as required.
- Comprehensive understanding, strong working knowledge of and experience in implementing and complying with HSE related legislation (on and offshore), corporate, national and international standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience in incident investigation using COMET/TOPSET/Tripod methodologies or similar.
- Proven track record working within the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of information management systems and databases would be advantageous.
