To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a SHEQ Coordinator to come and join our team at our Sittingbourne factory ME10 3SL.
The SHEQ role within the manufacturing organisation at Ibstock Sittingbourne is expected to co-ordinate and drive the effort to create a Safe Production/Logistics workplace through improving behavioural safety and systems.
Reporting to the Factory Manager the person will be a self-driven organised individual with proven administration experience with the flexibility to cover the Production Co-ordinator role when required.
Future development for the role will be based upon the individual but may include the role of site safety champion and related training.
Specific Responsibilities include@

A member of the Site Leadership Team, who are responsible for winning in safety through visual felt leadership, and having a restless discontent with current standards.
Control and ordering of site PPE for the operations team
Control of environmental management plan, scheduling necessary testing and audits.
Ensure compliance vs site safety audits, BSI audits and safe stress audits.
Population of the Evotix/SMS system, Allianz checks, statutory surveys for dust, noise and vibration.
Site Health monitoring – Organising IDC annual visits, management reporting and statutory monthly checks
Administration of the safety management system for COSHH/RA and SSOP, accident and incidents and safety concerns. Administration of SheAssure system.
Control and tracking of Safety T cards and linked to the critical machine safety checks
Administration of the site COSHH register
Administration of the site safe systems of work and risk assessments.
Month end – reporting of safety statistics, Meter readings and site waste. Populating relevant areas of the Site Ops report.
Arrange training for the site, managed from the training matrix to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and local requirements.
Delivery of core training to include Dust, Noise, Fire etc for the site teams
Management of spill kits, first aid and fire equipment on site, replenishing where required.
Site safety meetings – scheduling, minutes and developing to facilitate in the absence of the FM.
Contractor compliance monitoring, issue of permits, Avetta and RAMS checks
Safety observations in the Manufacturing area.
NEBOSH qualification essential.
