Lifestyle Coach (Sheltered Schemes)

Midland Heart

Location

Coventry | United Kingdom

Job description

The Role

Join our Retirement Living team in Coventry as a Lifestyle Coach - a fun yet challenging role where you’ll promote active lifestyles, positive wellbeing and social inclusion within our services!

This is a brand-new role we’ve created where you’ll work in partnership with our residents and their families, to plan, organise, promote and facilitate a varied calendar of activities and events to enhance the wellbeing of our residents in a fun, entertaining and inclusive way - always ensuring that our residents have a voice in contributing towards the programme. You’ll also play a key role in building relationships with the local community, external services and other local Sheltered schemes to drive the delivery of and participation in activities/events. Importantly, you’ll review the success of the lifestyle programmes to continually improve customer experience.

Our residents lead independent lifestyles, so our vision is that with your support, our residents will be empowered to run their own programme of activities and events, with a little support from you when needed.

Initially this role will support the facilitation of activities and events at Willowbrook Court, near University of Warwick; once the service is up and running, you’ll then support other Sheltered Retirement Living Schemes in the Coventry area too - the ability and willingness to travel to multiple schemes across Coventry which are not all accessible via public transport is essential. Please be aware, this is a lone worker role where you may be the only responsible person on scheme, representing Midland Heart in the event of an emergency or customer query.

This is a part time role working 17.5 hours per week, between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday - we’re flexible of the days of work and start/finish times!

Our ideal candidate? We’re looking for an engaging and adaptable individual who strives to deliver the best possible customer experience whilst balancing multiple demands. Your application will also demonstrate the following skills and experience:
