Harvey Nash are proudly partnered with a friendly and interesting business in the leisure and tourism industry actively looking to expand its IT function. As such we are looking for a brilliant IT Operations Lead to come and join the team.
Job Description: As the IT Operations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure and operations. You will oversee a team of three individuals and collaborate closely with various departments to support their IT needs. This role is ideal for a proactive and hands-on professional who excels in both technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of three IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and continuous development.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including system administration, network management, and user support.
- Maintain and optimize Microsoft Windows-based systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely.
- Manage Active Directory services, including user access control, group policies, and directory maintenance.
- Provide support for SAP systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements as needed.
- Develop and implement secure data transfer processes to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand IT requirements and recommend solutions that align with business objectives.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime and mitigate risks.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement within the IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT operations management.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and server environments.
- Proficiency in Active Directory administration, including user management and group policies.
- Experience with SAP systems administration and support is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of secure data transfer processes and data protection regulations (eg, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (eg, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, SAP Certified Technology Associate) are a plus.
