Six Figure Salary + Package
Hybrid Working with 1 to 2 days in Manchester Support Centre

Currently seeking an Operations Director to drive both quality and operational excellence across their expanding network of nurseries in the UK.
Position Overview:
As the Operations Director, you will be the driving force behind integrating the principles of high–quality childcare with efficient and effective operational practices and financial success of over 100 nurseries spanning the UK.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and collaborating closely with the Executive team, you will contribute to the overall success of the UK operations. Your role encompasses strategic leadership, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a cohesive vision for the future.
You will collaborate closely with regional managers and people team to uphold standards of excellence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in each operating region.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise operational efficiency and effectiveness across all nurseries.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development initiatives to ensure a high–performing management and front–line nursery teams.
- Manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost–control measures to drive profitability and sustainability.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive operational improvements.
- Collaborate with cross–functional teams to enhance curriculum quality and delivery.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the overall parent and child experience, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Identify emerging market trends and opportunities for expansion, presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience required
- Proven track record of at least 3 years in operational leadership roles within the education or childcare sector,
- Experience in a nursery brand or other OFSTED regulated organisation is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive operational excellence, and achieve financial targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform decision–making.
- Proactive problem solver with a customer–centric approach.
- Flexibility to travel nationally as needed.
