Scrum Master
6 months (Extension Options)
£650 per day (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)
Warwick (Hybrid) 1 - 2 days a week in Office (Some Travel to Other Sites)
My client is the backbone of Britain's energy system, they deliver energy to wherever it is needed in the UK. They are looking for a passionate, proactive Scrum Master to support the Field Force Team.
Job role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agile methodologies and a proven track record of successfully facilitating Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software products on time. The Scrum Master will be responsible for guiding and coaching the development team and product owner to ensure that Scrum principles and practices are implemented effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating all Scrum Ceremonies. You would be responsible for organizing and facilitating various Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. They ensure that these meetings are conducted effectively and efficiently.
- Coach the development team and product owner on agile principles and practices.
- Remove impediments and foster a collaborative and empowered team environment.
- Shield the team from external distractions and interruptions to maintain focus on sprint goals.
- Track and communicate team progress and metrics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the product owner to prioritise and develop the product backlog.
- Foster continuous improvement within the team by identifying areas for refinement and implementing solutions.
- Act as a servant leader, supporting the team in achieving their goals and fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
- Ensure adherence to Scrum framework and principles.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and between the team and other stakeholders. Ensure that information flows smoothly and that everyone is kept informed about the progress of the project.
- Ensure that the Scrum Team adheres to the core principles of Scrum, including transparency, inspection, and adaptation. They help the team understand the value of these principles and how to apply them in their day-to-day work.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and principles, with experience implementing Scrum practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Proven ability to facilitate meetings and ceremonies, and to resolve conflicts within the team.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Ability to adapt and respond to change, and to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Continuous learner, staying updated on industry trends and best practices in agile methodologies.
Desired:
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- ADO Experience
