PLC Software Engineer – West Yorkshire – Permanent – Systems Integrator – £30-55k + overtime + monthly bonus + hybrid working
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a PLC Software Engineer to join a systems integrator based in West Yorkshire. PLC Software Engineers applying for role, ideally need to have worked in one of the following sectors; water treatment, chemical, pharmaceutical or food & beverage.
Key aspects of the PLC Software Engineer role include –
- Growing controls business that’s big on training combined with a focus of looking after their team well
- Program PLCs from scratch using any of the following software vendors – Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi or Schneider
- Company open for the successful PLC Software Engineer to be a graduate with 2-3 years of experience right up to a seasoned professional
- Full driving licence
- Must be able to commute 2-3 times a week to the offices in West Yorkshire
- Full project life cycle experience including producing high quality design documents including writing detailed Function Design Specifications (FDS) from User Requirement Specifications, Control Philosophies or customer discussions
- Site work will all be UK based with typical commissioning phases taking 1-4 weeks in duration. The company’s priority is to find someone who is comfortable being office/home based for extended periods with the option to spend time on site if needed
- Development of system architecture, network connections and an understanding of cybersecurity.
- Good face to face skills, happy dealing with customers and suppliers
The successful PLC Software Engineer could commute easily from the following place across West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas; Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Brighouse, Rochdale, Keighley, Barnsley, Pontefract and Castleford.
