What will I be doing?

Due to continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity to join our ever-growing team as an EHS Coordinator. Working under the direction of the EHS Manager, the right candidate will have a can-do attitude to proactive safety management. At PVF, we believe in creating a culture where all staff contribute to safety, looking far beyond the concept that safety is the absence of danger. You will continue to foster that culture, with drive and energy to not only meet the requirements of UK law, but as a trailblazer raising safety standards within the scaffolding industry

Day-to-day you will be assisting with the onboarding of new contractors to our network ensuring they are supported to enable them to pass our rigorous competency assessment, assisting with incident investigations, collating incident and near miss data, writing near miss reports, producing content for safety bulletins, and supporting the development of training material. Alongside this, there will be a requirement to complete the NEBOSH Level 3 National General Certificate within the first 12 months of employment (unless already achieved)

Requirements

• Experience working in a health & safety, construction, facilities management, or similar field for at least one year is desirable
• A good understanding of the impact health & safety can have on a business, with a genuine commitment to keeping people safe
• A strong appreciation for the importance of compliance with legislation, and understanding of the human element when fulfilling our duty of care
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively
• A basic understanding of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to adapt your style to connect with a diverse audience
• High attention to detail
• Ability to travel across the country in your own vehicle and to access scaffolding during site audits
