Position Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a Territory Sales Manager to join our existing team within our Power & Industrial (P&I) Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining business from the current installed base whilst also expanding into new markets and increasing sales volume, year-on-year, through acquiring new installed base.
As we are an international business and this is a role that requires travel, it could be performed from any UK location. Scope for flexible working arrangements, including working from home, is offered subject to agreement. A degree of domestic and international travel will be required to fulfil the obligations of the role, therefore a valid passport and the ability to travel is essential.
Previous experience gained in an Air Filtration business would be a major advantage for this role.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues from replacement filters (ReMIF), system upgrades and repairs (Refit) and site services (SS) within the designated territory.
- REMIF quotations through CRM system, in conjunction with inside sales support teams.
- Maintain existing customer base by ensuring AAF value proposition matches client’s business needs and qualification of all new requests for quotations in line with company process.
- Develop and rolling maintenance of prioritized target list for new business acquisition, including action plan with value proposition for top 10 target clients.
- Maintenance of AAF CRM system for AAF installed base in designated territory in line with company guidelines, including but not limited to;
- Ensuring all opportunities are registered in the CRM system.
- Cloning all opportunities closed won or lost.
- Updating GT Installed list with current installed filter type/manufacturer, last change dates, etc
- Weekly / monthly order Intake forecasting and full ownership and support of annual territory Business Plans process.
- Ownership until resolution of client issues/questions/clarifications to ensure positive brand reputation.
Person Specification:
Education, Qualifications and Affiliations
Essential
- HNC / HND Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline/experience)
Desirable
- BEng / BSc Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline/experience)
- IMechE status
*Completed qualifications from an accredited institution may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

- Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Experience of carrying out fieldwork remotely and to deadlines in a dispersed global company.
- A good track record of acquiring and maintaining direct sales (preferably within the Oil & Gas and/or Power Generation sectors)
- Ability to manage multiple commercial opportunities / tasks efficiently.
- Ability to qualify requests for quotations - investigate/determine customers buying motives and economic justification criteria, map decision makers/influencers, understand funding process.
- Experience of building compelling Value Proposition based upon qualification process.
- Experience of negotiating terms and conditions.
- Knowledge and experience of working proactively using a CRM (preferably Salesforce)
- Functional knowledge in disciplines such as Marketing and Manufacturing.
- Successful experience with high value-added product selling, pricing, negotiating, and channel management.
