Job description
Overview
- The Customer Quality Engineer is responsible for working directly with customers to understand their use cases and mission profiles, addressing any quality issues they may experience, assisting customers in their own product qualifications, and managing the Pragmatic 8D process for addressing customer returns.
Key tasks
- Manage customer quality requirements and act as the direct customer interface for all customer quality-related questions.
- Manage the 8D process for all customer quality issues, including management of customer communications, implementation of immediate containment actions and corrective measures and monitoring the effectiveness of these measures.
- Track and report on customer quality metrics
- Manage and develop processes for supporting and delivering customer projects and qualifications.
- This encompasses customer project pre-launch activities and on-site customer engagement leading to a successful ramp to high volume manufacturing
- Assist customers in terms of best practices for handling, storing and using Pragmatic Semiconductor products.
Qualifications and training
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Engineering or Quality related discipline.
Skills and experience
- Experience in a quality role within an advanced Manufacturing organisation (preferably semiconductor/electronic fabrication) using modern manufacturing techniques
- Proven experience of driving Quality improvements through an organization
