Job description
We are looking for a determined, resilient SEN Tutor to work in an incredible, inspiring school environment to support pupils with SEN. The school is a SEN School that strives to support pupils with various forms of additional needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Language & Communication Difficulties and Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a SEN Tutor, your role will be to provide invaluable assistance to the Classroom Teachers, helping to ensure that pupils are motivated, engaged and have the support they need to understand the classroom material and have suitable adaptations made for them to ensure they are given the best possible opportunity to learn and grow.
This is a temporary-to-permanent role, where you will embark on a 12-14 week paid trial period, with the potential for a long-term permanent contract if you excel. We offer a highly competitive weekly pay of £400-425, depending on your experience, for a Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 3.30 pm role during term-time.

Here are the skills you'll need:
- Enthusiasm and dedication
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in a school environment (within the last 2 years)
- Familiarity with supporting students with challenging behavior, ASD, SEMH, or SLD
- Willingness to obtain or update an enhanced DBS
- Previous experience in the care sector
- Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience
- Any relevant school or nursery work experience
- Advantageous behavior management skills
- Qualifications in Health and Social Care or Teaching and Learning in schools, a plus
Work Permissions: You must have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one is essential. Additionally, any previous experience in the care sector, teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or relevant school/nursery work experience is advantageous. Behavior management skills and qualifications in Health and Social Care or Teaching and Learning in schools are pluses.
