What you will do in your working day

A normal day would include:

• Preparing and processing documents such as sales orders, despatch notes, purchase orders, works orders and invoices
• Providing office support including customer and employee support
• Keeping well-organised files and records of business activity
• Keeping computer databases up to date
• Answering phones and connecting calls to the proper department
• Taking phone messages and passing them on
• Following up on business communications, billing, and ordering
• Communicating with suppliers and vendors
• Invoicing
• Collecting and inputting company data
• Writing and editing company correspondence
• Collecting and sorting post
• Assisting with minor technical support
• Participating in office meetings and taking meeting minutes
• Being ready for any other administrative tasks that are required

How you will be supported:

You will have an experienced and very friendly line manager in Michelle, and will be mentored by the General Manager. Structured job training on the various tasks outlined in the vacancy description.
Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company in addition to the training received on site, to help you achieve your Apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role.

How you could get there:

Timetabled public transport is problematic, so access to a car and driving licence is essential. You would need to be able to use a reliable means of getting to BL8 9RZ in order to start each day at 08:30.

The training you will be getting

• Full apprenticeship training provided, working towards an Advanced Level Apprenticeship gaining a Level 3 business admin qualification.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

• Possible progression within the company and progression onto the next level apprenticeship.
