Embedded Software Internship

About the role:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Embedded Software Development Intern to be part of our 12 months internship program in our innovative and friendly team in Horsham, West Sussex, working as part of an agile team developing the next generation of our industry leading building energy management systems.

You will be working alongside other developers and architects as part of a scrum team enhancing features on our latest range of BEMS controllers. Working in C++ and modelling Object Orientated software with UML within CASE development tools you will be focusing on communications protocols, IOT and control algorithms in our systems flagship products.

This role would suit a computer science or software engineering student with a passion for embedded software development who is looking for real product engineering experience.

Desired skills:

Strong and confident communicator
Highly computer literate
An understanding of Software Engineering processes and practices
Able to understand and apply complex analytical methods (Engineering mathematics- algebra, differentiation, function, geometry, trigonometry, statistics)
Ability to demonstrate interest in an Engineering hobby or skillset would be desirable
Well organised
Work accurately with excellent attention to detail under minimum supervision
Good co-ordination, motor skills, and dexterity
Passion to learn and grow in the industrial field selected
The ability to effectively work as part of a team and on your own

Desired qualifications:
Completed or in process of completing a Computer Science or Software Engineering degree
