As Test Bakery Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with the wider commercial team and leading the Technical and NPD team to quite simply deliver new propositions to customers as well as product extensions.

This is a role which will challenge you to operate to complexity leading a team of individuals building technical specifications and running trials. This is a fast paced role which requires someone who understand factory capabilities, process and can drive change whilst dealing with high volume.

You certainly won’t be bored and if you’re a people person foodie who likes to get stuff done… this should interest you!

About the role:

• An expert in food and a real ‘foodie’ you will become respected for your ideas, creativity and generate commercial propositions
• You will lead a team in research to understand key trends and insights to support new product formulation pulling together technical specifications and getting stuck into the physical development.
• Identification of new opportunities – understanding of factory capabilities
• You will work hand in hand with the wider R&D team and collaborate with customers to generate briefs
• Hands on with the products, you drive excitement through the business and become regarded as someone who can drive business growth through category disruption with new brand and Retailer Brand innovation!

Calling successful candidates!…

• You will already be operating in food manufacturing in a NPD or innovation capacity and operated in a food production environment previously
• A food science background or qualification and you will have a passion for food nutrition/ development
• You will have gained experience in developing new innovation/ NPD suitable for a variety of customer channels
• Clearly you will be passionate about food and bringing new ideas to market and you will find huge support and investment behind you to do this!
• An ideas person balanced with being commercially savvy
