Fully Qualified Teacher (SEMH experience essential)
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Immediate Start required
Salary: £120 - £150 per day
GSL Education Lincolnshire is currently in search of a skilled and dedicated
SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Fully Qualified Teacher for an esteemed SEN (Special Educational Needs) client school situated in the
Grantham region.
Roles and Responsibilities: - Cultivate an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that celebrates diversity, respect, and positive behaviour.
- Provide emotional support to students, assisting them in building self-confidence and self-reliance.
- Maintain meticulous records of student progress, behaviour, and any vital administrative documentation.
- Devise and implement individualised lesson plans that cater to the distinct learning styles and needs of students with special educational requirements.
- Planning, marking, and creating lessons and frameworks.
- Continuously assess students' abilities and closely monitor their progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Foster seamless collaboration with teaching assistants, support personnel, intervention specialists, and parents to establish a comprehensive support system for each student.
Requirements: - Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions including de-escalation tactics.
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status, PGCE or relevant qualification.
- Enhanced child workforce DBS on the Update Service or through GSL.
- Proven track record in working with students who require additional learning support.
- Compliance with overseas criminal clearance, when necessary.
- Knowledge of delivering phonics is desirable.
