Job description

The Guildhall School is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head of Keyboard Studies following the retirement of our current post-holder in August 2024. 

The successful applicant will be a pianist and teacher of proven achievement who will be a key member of the leadership of the Keyboard Department. They will be responsible for the day to day running of the academic, curricular, and communal work of the Keyboard Department, will deputise in the absence of the Head of Department and teach according to specialism as directed by the Head of Department.

They will contribute to developing high-level relationships with contacts and peers within the sector, nationally and internationally. They will engage actively in continuing professional development and innovation within the field of performance and pedagogy and participate in mentoring processes with colleagues. They will liaise with colleagues throughout the Music Division to collaborate creatively to the overall artistic work of the School.
