Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Role type: Full-time, Monday - Friday

Role overview

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Management Accountant to work across our dynamic organisation. In this interesting and rewarding role, the successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and management team in the monitoring of all financial activities. This is a pivotal role in our growth and will offer financial support to our expanding global team. 

You will receive excellent support from our experienced CFO Consultant (UK based) who has worked with us since the very beginning of our journey. 

Responsibilities

• UK and consolidated management accounts
• Helping the management team analyse and control activities in Nigeria, Pakistan and Kenya
• Be the main point of contact for audit work in the UK, and support non-UK teams with their audits
• Assisting with Payroll via our external support services 
• Keeping up to date management accounts on Xero
• Completing P&L and balance sheet reviews
• Providing variance analysis against budget
• Updating rolling forecasts and annual budgeting process
• Support the cost accounting process
• Providing analysis in preparation for R&D tax credit submission
• Managing employee expenses
• Review payroll schedules and supplier payment runs
• Conducting financial analysis and providing actionable insights to management
• Continuously review and enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity

Requirements

Our ideal colleague will have the following skills, attributes and experience. 

Essential: 

• ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Minimum three years of experience of preparing UK accounts
• Understanding of the UK tax system and the practical application of PAYE and VAT
• Competent working with Google Sheets, creating graphs and other analyses to demonstrate key trends or characteristics of our business
• A collaborative approach to working with colleagues

Desired:

• Experience of accounting outside the UK
• Good presentational skills, both oral and written
