An Audit Associate is required to support a team in the Accounting & Finance department in a professional services setting in Newcastle. Working with various clients within the portfolio, ensuring high quality audit and assurance services.

Description
- Work within the audit team during on-site client visits.
- Prepare and review audit work papers and summaries.
- Maintain open communication with clients to manage expectations and deadlines.
- Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
- Stay current on industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Participate in business development initiatives.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive service to clients.
Profile
A successful Audit Associate should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field/Professional qualification like ACA, ACCA, or working towards.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the professional services industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
- Excellent team collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
