Job description
Pulse is seeking a determined Band 8a clinical Psychologist to be welcomed into our client’s Paediatrics Mental Health team within a fantastic private service based in Staffordshire, West Midland. This position will be available for the appointed Clinical Psychologist to start as soon as possible, working full-time hours for a 3-month period.
The post holder will deliver psychological aspects of care within the paediatric service, providing specialist assessment and interventions for patients and their families and offering advice and consultation to colleagues. The post holder will need essential experience working with children, young people and their families in the context of chronic physical conditions (paediatric liaison psychology), desirable experience working in paediatric diabetes, cystic fibrosis and general paediatrics (pain management, medically unexplained symptoms, supporting parents on the ward, adherence to treatment, supporting newly diagnosed patients and their families, managing challenging behaviours on the ward, anxiety related to physical health, and similar).
