Celebrated as a leader in sustainability matters. the company has it's HQ in Central London and has a variety of business interests, ranging from transport infrastructure through to retail and real estate. About the role

This is a broad commercial generalist role encompassing contracts negotiations, advisory on legal compliance (including anti-bribery, data protection and modern slavery), ad hoc corporate advisory work and identifying and mitigating legal risk across the business. There is also a well-managed revolving debt facility that the team manages, reporting regularly to the Board. The ethos of the team is that all members get involved in all legal matters, to enable constant self-development and versatility. Reporting into a senior lawyer within a team of five lawyers, you will need to manage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, including the procurement, finance and commercial teams, external counsel and regulators.

About you

You will be an England & Wales qualified corporate commercial lawyer with c. 4-5 PQE (the business will readily consider lawyers with more or less experience so long as they can perform the role). You will have a strong academic background and ideally have trained in private practice, or have completed a structured training contract in-house. Any in-house experience in addition to this will be readily welcomed, though this is also seen as an ideal first in-house role for a practice lawyer. Experience of corporate matters and commercial contracts, alongside an understanding of legal compliance will be appreciated. You will need to come into the Central London offices twice a week.
