Job description

Manager

Full-time, Part-time and Hybrid opportunities available

About Us

We're Nine Feet Tall … and growing!

We're a management consultancy that specialises in delivering complex business change, combining the power of people and technology. In the past three years we have sharpened our focus around change management for complex programmes, particularly helping and guiding clients with Project and Portfolio Management and increasingly supporting major clients with their complex ERP transformations. We have created significant value in this area for our clients, across a range of industry sectors. We take the pain out of change and help the transition to new ways of working.

Whilst our projects are often complex, our approach is simple and we use our experience and core values to guide our decision making – acting with integrity and doing the right thing, always striving for excellence, and delivering with real passion and commitment.

As a consultancy we offer something tangibly different to our larger competitors. Our clients aren't just a number – their positive experience of working with Nine Feet Tall is paramount and we strive to build long lasting partnerships.

Are you an experienced project or programme manager seeking to work within a management consultancy environment? Could you develop key client relationships, alongside managing and mentoring project teams?

About You

Your career to date means that you have extensive project and programme management experience - with a proven track record of successfully leading complex change programmes or multiple projects, with specialism in IT systems implementation. You may also hold additional project and/or programme management qualifications.

You'll have worked across a variety of industry sectors, including significant time spent in the private sector, and understand the flexibility needed to support clients. You'll already be comfortable developing and managing senior stakeholder relationships on projects.

You'll also enjoy leading, motivating and mentoring others.

The role

At Manager level you'll spend around 75% of your time delivering client engagements - leading our largest systems implementations or transformation programmes. You will have responsibility for the full project lifecycle, team and budget. You'll undertake rapid project assessments and healthchecks for clients, using your personal experience and judgement to make recommendations.

You'll contribute to the growth of key accounts and support the acquisition of new clients. As you build knowledge within an industry sector or capability, you'll become the internal expert for this in our team.

From an internal perspective, you'll be asked to drive internal projects to build capability and push improvement. You'll also play an integral role in developing more junior consultants through mentoring and training.

Why apply

You'll be heard, we want your contribution. As a Manager within our team you'll actively use your knowledge and experience and see the direct impact of your influence. You will be a role model, supporting and developing others. You will benefit from our commitment to learning and development, continuing your own learning whilst passing on your expertise at the same time.

We deliver all the capabilities of large consultancy with far less jargon and a lot more personality.

As an employer, we're proud to be flexible and modern and we work hard to help our team find balance in their working and personal lives. That's why we welcome applications for either full-time or flexible working. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to combine working from home, travel to client site and time spent at our office in Bath to collaborate and see the team, for training and for our regular Company Days that play a big role in our cohesive team culture.

Remuneration

Competitive salary + twice yearly bonus + generous benefits package

Nine Feet Tall is an equal opportunities employer. We know that the principles of diversity, equality and inclusion are key to being a successful and dynamic business - with a team which is engaged and where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is happy to be themselves.
