Specsavers in Swanley are looking for a leading Optometrist to become their next Optometry / Ophthalmic Director and Store Partner. They have a clear-sighted vision to transform eye health in their community – but need your support. You’ll have access to the very best clinical technology, and will receive unrivalled professional development. Specsavers in Swanley first opened its doors in 2017. The store sits in a prominent position in the pedestrianised shopping area and is firmly embedded within the local community. The loyal and growing customer base includes shoppers from nearby ASDA of which the store is located between the busy supermarket’s 2 entrances, in addition to significant passing trade from all walks of life.

A team of 9 dedicated and passionate colleagues call this store home. The existing Partners are really passionate about the clinical development of the team, and as the new Optometry Director you would have the scope to advise on training requirements, introduce new specialisms and build/shape the team further as required.
You would be joining Faheem Ayub, Optometry Partner who has been with Specsavers for 5 years and Ian Hyland who has been with the business for 6 and a half years as Retail partner. Both are really looking forward to gaining an Optometry Partner to help them drive the business forward so that it flourishes for many years to come.

Store location
The store is located in the heart of Swanley town centre, which lies in the Sevenoaks District of Kent. Being on the outskirts of south east London it is a convenient commuter town for people who work in the city, as they can still be paid the London living wage. It therefore benefits from excellent transport links, there’s a mainline railway station within walking distance and is only 5 minutes from the M25. Trains from London Victoria take less than 30 minutes.
Requirements of the role
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store. As the new Optometry Partner, you’ll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll be able to build a rapport with the existing team, demonstrate excellent attention to detail and possess an ability to build strong relationships within the local community.
