We're looking for a Library Assistant/Driver to join the West Sussex Schools Library Service (SLS).

West Sussex Schools Library Service (SLS) provides schools with high quality resources and expertise to support literacy and whole school learning to primary schools across West Sussex.

The Opportunity

Salary: £12,147 to £12,350 per annum (calculated to Term Time only)

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Working Pattern: Part-time (14 hours per week) working across 3 days per week

Location: Worthing Library , Richmond Rd, Worthing BN11 1HD

Interview Date: 28 March 2024

We're looking for a well-motivated person, with a keen attention to detail, and good digital and administrative skills, to join a small but active team where you will visit several schools across West Sussex during term time.

And you won't just be sitting behind a desk, you will assist with the exchange of books; restocking the mobile and carry out other library assistant duties in the Schools Library Service base.

It's an active role: you will be driving, carrying books, taking books from the base to restock, moving around the vehicle, and supporting school staff and children when operating the mobile library.

We're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic person, who enjoys talking to customers, as you'll be dealing with requests from a range of customers. You will be a keen team player, able to work alongside partners and other services providing excellent customer service.
